Kimberly Harkey
I'm managing Broker of Heritage Realty. I have been a licensed REALTOR® since 2001. Prior to my career in real estate, I worked in the mortgage industry for 10 years and held positions such as consumer lender, mortgage loan processor, mortgage loan officer, and branch manager. This knowledge and understanding of finance has been effective in closing transactions for all the clients of Heritage Realty. I began my real estate career when I purchased my first investment property in 2001 and obtained a real estate license to sell my own investment properties... my, how things change. From there, I purchased Heritage Realty in January 2004. Due to my background in the banking & finance industry, I immediately gravitated toward listing REO properties. This was my specialty as a licensee and during the economic downturn. I am an active member of Walton Barrow Board of REALTORS and secondary member of Athens Area Association of REALTORS . I have served a couple of terms for WBBOR as a local director for 6 years. I've also held 2007 V.P. of Administration and Finance and receipient of the 2007 Realtor Spirit Award, REALTOR of the Year, Silver Humanitarian 2 time award winner. I believe it's important to reinvest in the community. Because of my community service efforts, the Georgia Association of REALTORS awarded me the 2015 Good Neighbor Award. On a personal note, I am native to North Georgia. I grew up in Gainesville and Winder, attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, and lived in Atlanta/Buckhead area for a few years before moving back home to Barrow County in 1996. My hobbies are doing anything with my family/friends and REAL ESTATE!
